The Senior Lawyers Committee (the “SLC”) was created on May 8, 2006 by then CBA president Louis R. Pepe, and was charged with “… addressing the issues and problems typically confronting aging lawyers, as well as the benefits such attorneys can confer on the Bar Association, the profession and the community.” Examples of such issues and problems include Medicare, Social Security and prescription drug benefits, and the disposition of records, transferring a practice, and entering retirement.
Since its creation, the SLC has been meeting six times a year in New Haven. The meetings consist of general discussions and featured speakers and programs.
