Volunteers Needed for Adult Civic Education Project
The Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) is currently recruiting volunteers for its newest Law-Related Education program, the Adult Civic Education Project. Spearheaded by CBA President Norman K. Janes, the project will be offered to the public free of charge and is intended to explore the impact of the three branches of government on the daily lives of "average" citizens through real-life scenarios. Volunteers are needed to teach lesson plans to adult classes in a variety of settings, including civic clubs, community centers, community colleges, senior centers, and universities throughout the state. The CBA will host an orientation/information session on the project on December 14th. Materials, including lesson plans, will be available to all interested attorneys.
