Program (1.0 hour CLE):  

On June 30, 2015, the Connecticut legislature enacted Public Act 15-5, which, along with companion act P.A. 15-244, significantly impacts Connecticut taxpayers. The new Connecticut biennial budget for the fiscal years 2016 and 2017 contains a projected $1.3 billion in state tax and fee increases.

On October 5, 2015, Steve Kralik from KPMG and Alan Lieberman from Shipman and Goodwin will lead a discussion on the impact of the budget legislation on Connecticut taxpayers.

Topics discussed will include:
  • Summary of Connecticut Law Changes:

-Sales and use tax

-Personal income tax

-Estate Tax

-Partnership withholding

-Connecticut tax procedure and innocent spouse relief

  • Summary of Connecticut Corporation Business Tax Changes:
