About the Program:
This program will cover the key aspects of individual bankruptcy liquidation and rehabilitation, both the substantive and procedural law, and will include special consideration of the kinds of problems attorneys are likely to encounter in these matters as well as a brief overview of the change in bankruptcy forms taking place on December 1.

Who Should Attend:
Any attorney who wants to gain an understanding of the key elements of bankruptcy law as it relates to individuals. 

You Will Learn:

  • The difference between Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code
  • The structure of the Bankruptcy Code and Bankruptcy Rules
  • About bankruptcy schedules, means testing, and credit counseling
  • About the automatic stay
  • What is included in the property of the bankruptcy estate and what is exempt
  • About the bankruptcy discharge and dischargeability issues
  • About alternatives to bankruptcy
