New Developments in Probate Law, Procedure and Court Administration

About the Program
The program will highlight recent developments in probate law, including statutory changes enacted in 2016 and revisions to the Probate Court Rules of Procedure that will become effective on July 1. The seminar will also cover important conservatorship initiatives in progress at the Office of the Probate Court Administrator as well as proposed legislation for the 2017 session and beyond.

Paul J. Knierim, Probate Court Administrator

Paul J. Knierim was appointed Probate Court Administrator in 2008, after 10 years of service as judge of the Simsbury Probate Court. He previously served three terms in the General Assembly and practiced law in the estate planning field. He was a partner in the office of Drew, Mersereau & Knierim and later at Cummings & Lockwood. Before entering private practice, he was law clerk to Chief Justice Ellen A. Peters. Paul is a graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School.
