About the Program
Alternative dispute resolution is an indispensable tool for every attorney. With this in mind, the Judicial Branch has opened two Judicial mediation centers – one in the Waterbury courthouse at 400 Grand Street and the other in the Hartford J.D. Courthouse at 95 Washington Street.  Both of these locations include mediation rooms and state-of-the art videoconferencing equipment, and both provide the opportunity to extend mediation beyond normal court hours. Judge Michael Riley, who is currently in charge of the Hartford Court Mediation Center, will introduce center personnel, give a tour of the Hartford Mediation Center, and explain how to best make the mediation centers work for you. Drawing on his vast trial and mediation experience, Judge Riley will also instruct on the most effective way to present your case at mediation.

You Will Learn
