Program:
Attorney Amy F. Goodusky will speak on her experience as a paralegal and as an attorney, including the qualities of a good paralegal and the transition from paralegal to lawyer, and the differences she has noted in those roles.

Attorney Goodusky joined Sachner and O’connor in 2015 after spending 18 years as counsel to a well-respected Hartford firm concentrating in medical malpractice defense and health care law. Amy has jury, court trial, and appellate experience and also represents physicians with Department of Public Health matters from initial complaints through administrative hearings. She is admitted to the Connecticut Bar and the United States District Court. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Hampshire college, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of law. She has been a featured speaker for the Connecticut Bar Association on ethics for attorneys. Her experience includes in-service presentations on medical malpractice litigation and health care to health care providers at several institutions. Before obtaining her law degree, Attorney Goodusky practiced for 13 years as a paralegal specializing in medical malpractice defense and general insurance defense. She writes for the Connecticut Law Tribune and is a member of the Board of Directors of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.

We are thrilled to announce that Pullman & Comley has offered to host the Paralegal Section meeting simultaneously at their Hartford and Bridgeport offices via video-conference.
