About the Program
Campus sexual assault allegations raise serious legal questions for defendants, schools, and prosecutors. The criminal justice and university systems both investigate the matter with similar but imperfectly aligned interests. Learn how these systems treat such cases, and how to handle this tricky legal intersection.

You Will Learn

  • How university and state investigations impact one another
  • The state’s considerations in handling campus sex assault cases
  • How a defense attorney can balance the client’s needs to be protected criminally while preserving his or her ability to stay in school

Who Should Attend
Practitioners who handle sexual assault cases, especially such cases on any of Connecticut’s college campuses. Also, anyone looking for more insight about the workings of large institutions like universities and how the state considers third-party interests.
