Bill of Rights in Action

This program helps students to understand how the U.S. Constitution affects their lives. Volunteer attorneys speak to students on selected amendments, and situations focus specifically on students and their legal protections afforded to them under the Bill of Rights. The choice of topics are:

  • First Amendment- Freedom of Religion
  • First Amendment- Free Speech v. Private Property
  • Fourth Amendment- Search and Seizure
  • Eighth Amendment- Protection from Unfair Punishments

A copy of program material is provided to you. Approximate time commitment ranges from 1-2 hours per classroom visit. The number of classroom visits you choose to participate in is totally up to you!
