About the Program

Lawyers who get it right with client fee arrangements not only avoid disciplinary trouble, they increase the chances of getting paid. This program will outline the ethical requirements for fee arrangements.  It also will offer practical advice on how to avoid fee disputes with clients, and how to best deal with them if they arise.

How to deal with fee disputes ethically and effectively

CLE Credit

CLE Credit: 1.0 CT (Ethics); 1.0 NY (Ethics)

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for transitional and non-transitional CLE credits. 

Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, or a fully interactive videoconference. Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits.
