Divorce by 911:
The Intersection of Family Law and Criminal Law

Speaker

Mark Sherman, The Law Offices of Mark Sherman, LLC, Stamford

Program Description

Attorney Sherman will present an informative, engaging seminar which highlights the various scenarios in which a family law matter can cross over into the criminal law world. In this seminar, attorneys will learn how to avoid “divorce by 911 call,” how to protect their clients’ interests when a criminal matter is pending, and how to appropriately seek police intervention and assistance when tensions run high. Attorney Sherman will also provide education on the legality of recording devices, the use of recordings in depositions and evidentiary proceedings, and wiretapping (i.e., recording phone calls).
