Candace V. Fay
Candace V. Fay is a solo practitioner with offices located in Danbury and New Canaan. She routinely represents the underprivileged and disenfranchised in a variety of matters and has provided pro bono services through the Secretary of State’s Legal Assistance Project and the Connecticut Bar Association’s Lawyers in Libraries program. Before entering private practice, Attorney Fay served as a law clerk to now retired Hon. Holly B. Fitzsimmons of the United States District Court of Connecticut.
Attorney Fay received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut in 2001. She received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2007, where she was the Executive Editor of the Public Interest Law Journal. She explored and compared the effectiveness and prevention efforts of the Passamaquoddy Tribal Court with the State of Connecticut Courts in her Independent Research Project. In 2022, Candace completed the Yale School of Management Executive Education Women’s Leadership Program.
Attorney Fay is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Greater Danbury Bar Association, Connecticut Federal Court's Public Outreach Committee, Florida Bar Association, and the Raymond E. Baldwin Inns of Court. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Florida, the United States District Court of Connecticut, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Attorney Fay is active within her community, currently serving as the Vice Chairman on the Danbury Zoning Commission. When not working, she enjoys golf, tennis, exercise, and spending time with her children, Colton & Tatum.
