YLS Hosts Horn of Plenty Food Drive

Written Tuesday, October 30, 2018

The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) is hosting a Horn of Plenty Food Drive to benefit those struggling with hunger. All donations will benefit the local food banks in the Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank networks.

You can participate and make a difference without leaving your desk by giving a monetary donation. This year, Bank of America is multiplying your impact on hunger. For every $1 you donate, Bank of America will donate $2*.

Your Impact Goes Further:
$1 donation = 30 meals
$5 donation = 150 meals
$10 donation = 300 meals

Donate Now

After donating, please contact Joanna Kornafel or Linda Bulkovitch, YLS public service co-directors, to be recognized in the January/February issue of Connecticut Lawyer magazine.

* Donations must be made by December 31, 2018 to qualify.

The YLS will also be collecting food donations at locations around the state from November 5-16 and at its November 14 meeting.

Participants are asked to consider donating items on the healthy food lists, including fruits and vegetables, dairy, protein, and whole grain products, and other low or no salt food.
