Member Spotlight | Mark R. Myers and David N. Rosen Receive CVLC Awards

CBA Members Mark R. Myers and David N. Rosen will be honored at the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center's (CVLC) Veteran's Day celebration "Saluting Service" on Thursday, November 7 at the Canal Dock Boathouse in New Haven.

Myers_Mark_2019Attorney Myers will receive the Veteran's Justice Award for his dedicated service to CVLC since 2012. His willingness to take difficult VA Benefits cases and always go the extra mile has changed the lives of his veteran clients; and resulted in lifetime income and healthcare worth of more than $1.7 Million.

The Veteran's Justice Award honors individuals and organizations that have shown extraordinary commitment to veteran representation and furthering the mission of CVLC. The award is generally given to an individual who has provided many hours of pro bono representation and has prioritized veterans in their pro bono efforts. 


David Rosen Attorney Rosen, along with Margaret M. Middleton, Howard R. Udell (in memoriam), and Laurie Harkness, will receive the CVLC Founders Award for their vision of integrating legal services within the context of VA care. Attorney Rosen has provided guidance and leadership, serving as CVLC’s first board member and still sits on CVLC’s board today. Thanks to the group's efforts, the lives of more than 3,700 veterans have been transformed by ensuring that veterans recovering from homelessness and mental illness have adequate income, affordable healthcare, and safe and secure housing.
