Susan M. Williams will receive The Honorable Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award at the CBA’s annual awards celebration, Celebrate with the Stars, on Wednesday, July 22. Attorney Williams established her law firm in 1999, concentrating her practice in debtor representation with consumer bankruptcy law and real estate. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section, serving on the Executive Committee.
Attorney Williams currently serves on the Pro Bono Legal Services Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts and is a member of the Pro Bono Honor Roll for the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Massachusetts. She had recently worked with the executive committee to make use of grant funds from the American College of Bankruptcy to educate new practitioners in the area of bankruptcy law and to promote pro bono work.
The Honorable Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award recognizes CBA members who demonstrated dedication to the provision of legal services without expectation of payment to those in need.
