Alan H. Bowie, Jr. is the president of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association and a member of the CBA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; State of the Legal Profession Task Force; Policing Task Force; Federal Practice Section; and Law & Employment Section Executive Committee. He has presented numerous CBA CLE seminars, written for CT Lawyer magazine, taught at Yale Law School, and is an active member of the New Haven community.
Attorney Bowie is a member of Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP’s business services and litigation groups and practices primarily in the area of labor and employment. His inspirations to practice law are the Hon. James T. Giles (ret.), Justice Thurgood Marshall, and William T. Coleman, Jr.
