Member Spotlight | Greg Davis

Greg Davis will receive the Citizen of the Law Award at the CBA’s annual awards celebration, Celebrate with the Stars, on Thursday, April 8. He currently serves as counsel in the Strategic Resolution Group for Travelers Insurance, managing and resolving complex cumulative injury litigation related to asbestos, hazardous waste, and other toxic torts. 

Attorney Davis has made significant and long-term contributions to his community.  He currently serves as president of the Hartford Public Library Board of Directors and is chair of the Prosser Library Building Committee with Bloomfield Public Library. He received the Edith Nettleton Volunteer of the Year Award from the Connecticut Library Association in 2017 and became a member of the hall of fame for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford in 2013, where he is an alumnus, trustee, and former board president. Attorney Davis currently serves on the board of directors for Hartford Youth Scholars and was president from 2018-2020. He recently completed his appointment with the Connecticut Judicial Selection Commission, where he served as vice-chair for three years. In addition to his commitment to serving the community, Attorney Davis is a long-time member of The First Cathedral Church Bloomfield and serves in the diaconate ministry. 

The Citizen of the Law Award recognizes a legal professional who has made a significant contribution to a charitable or public service cause that does not involve professional legal skills, but provides inspiration and contributes to the needy, good of society, environment, or our way of life.
