Garlinck Dumont began her law practice, Dumont Law LLC, in August 2014. She primarily practices in the areas of divorce, child custody, and visitation; criminal defense; and probate matters. Attorney Dumont is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) and Attorney for a Minor Child (AMC) by the State of Connecticut and is also a certified mediator. She is currently an adjunct professor at the UConn School of Law, teaching courses in negotiations and law practice management. She also serves as a hearing officer for the State of Connecticut. Attorney Dumont is a graduate of the New England School of Law and is licensed to practice law in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.

As a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA), Attorney Dumont has served as chair of both the Membership Committee and the Presidential Fellows Committee. She currently serves as the chair of the Women in the Law Section and is a member of the CBA’s Pro Bono Committee. Attorney Garlinck is also a past president and current member of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association. Additionally, she provides mentorship to high school and college students, including those interested in pursuing a legal career.
