Pro Bono Volunteer Reception
Volunteers  at the event received certificates of recognition for their participation in the CBA's Pro Bono Programs

On Thursday, October 6, the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) hosted its inaugural Pro Bono Volunteer Recognition Reception. The reception was held at the CBA building in New Britain and was attended by volunteers who participate in the CBA’s various pro bono programs throughout the year. The volunteers receiving recognition enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and an opportunity to connect and socialize with each other. CBA President Daniel J. Horgan and Executive Director Keith J. Soressi opened the program portion of the reception by thanking the volunteers for their commitment and dedication to the CBA’s pro bono programs. President Horgan emphasized that the CBA’s programs would not be possible without each of the volunteer attorneys that generously provide pro bono services. CBA Pro Bono Committee co-chairs Margaret I. Castinado and Dan A. Brody also gave remarks highlighting the impact that pro bono service can have on individuals from traditionally under-served populations and described how meaningful such service can be.
