Michael Gilberg is a special education attorney and autistic self-advocate, who was first diagnosed at age 18. He has devoted his legal career to representing children with disabilities to ensure they receive the appropriate education that they are entitled to under the law, which he was denied as a child. Attorney Gilberg has years of political and policy experience in government and in advocation for disability in public policy in New York State and Westchester County. He operates his solo practice in Granite Springs, NY.

Attorney Gilberg is a member of the CBA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He also serves on numerous other boards and committees, including the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), the Autism Society of America’s Panel of People on the Spectrum, the Westchester County Advisory Council on People with Disabilities, the Autism Spectrum News Editorial Board, Parents United Learning the Special Education System of the Mid-Hudson Valley NY (PULSES), and the New York State Autism Spectrum Disorders Advisory Board’s Self Advocate Committee.
