The new rules for multijurisdictional practice and house counsel registration went into effect on January 1, 2008.
It is likely that some problems may be recognized or encountered. The Task Force on Multijurisdictional Practice will continue in operation, and any perceived problems should be directed to the Task Force which will seek to address such problems and propose any changes or additional rules as may be deemed necessary.
Connecticut lawyers planning to use the limited practice rule should ensure that the state(s) involved have adopted Rule 5.5 or a variant thereof.
