The Connecticut Guide to Street Law:
A Practical Guide to Everyday Law in Connecticut

Authored by twelve CBA attorneys and edited by teachers, this straightforward guide to Connecticut law is liberally salted with real-life stories and relevant cartoons. After reading a chapter, students are prepared and eager to speak with an attorney!

Volunteers are needed to lead a 45-minute workshop on one of the following topics:

  • Criminal and Juvenile Justice in Connecticut
    Crime & Punishment: A Balancing Act; The Criminal Justice Process
  • Consumer and Housing Law
    Using Credit; Consumer Issues; Leasing an Apartment
  • Family Law
    Marriage & Divorce; Care of Children; Making a Will
  • Rights in the Community
    Right to Privacy/Search and Seizure; Freedom of Speech;
    Rights in the Workplace; Discrimination
