This year the CBA, along with the New Britain Rock Cats baseball team, is inviting schools, churches, libraries, courts, public agencies, municipal officials, and the local media to join them for an evening of baseball on Tuesday, May 1, to celebrate Law Day. Tickets are only $3.50! CBA President Norm Janes will throw the first pitch. Law Day, a national event, observed each year on May 1st by members of the legal profession, is an opportunity to expand the public's awareness of American laws and the justice system. This year's theme is “Liberty Under Law: Empowering Youth, Assuring Democracy.” This event provides an opportunity for Greater Hartford residents to catch a game, as well as reflect on how the law protects our freedom to express our opinions, to select our leaders, to worship where we choose, and to pursue our livelihood. Gates open at New Britain Stadium at 5:35 p.m. and game time is 6:35 p.m. More game details can be found here. To purchase tickets, please contact Matt McAdams at (860) 224-8383, x22; or e-mail to groupsales@rockcats.com.
