Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers will give the Keynote Speech at “Raising the Bar: A Bench-Bar Symposium on Professionalism in the Judicial District of Fairfield” on Friday, November 16, 2007. The symposium will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The symposium will feature such topics as The Second Century of Lawyer Professionalism and Uncivil Procedures: Case Studies on Professionalism and Attorney Discipline. Breakout sessions will include areas focused on Civil Practice, Criminal Practice, Family Practice, Juvenile Practice, Probate Practice, Real Estate and Business.

The symposium is presented by The Greater Bridgeport Bar Association in collaboration with the Connecticut Bar Association and State of Connecticut Judicial Branch.

The event will be held at the Superior Court in Bridgeport, located at 1061 Main Street. A luncheon will follow at the Holiday Inn of Bridgeport with a keynote speech from Chief Justice Rogers. The Holiday Inn is located at 1070 Main Street.

Space is limited. Early registration is encouraged. The fee for the symposium is $45 per person and provides 3.5 hours of CLE credit (includes 1 hour ethics credit). Judges are invited guests.
