District of Connecticut Bench-Bar Conference
Sponsored by the Federal Practice Section

The eighth District Court Bench-Bar Conference will include a panel discussion on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and current proposals to reform its procedures, featuring Senator Richard Blumenthal and other distinguished speakers, a panel discussion on the controversy over patent litigation pursued by “non-performing entities,” and a presentation on ethics issues arising from trial lawyers’ use of social media.  Chief Judge Hall will give a brief address on the state of the District and Karen Greve Milton, Circuit Executive for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, will speak on the state of the Circuit.

The District Court’s Pro Bono Award will be presented by Chief Judge Hall to attorneys Antonio Ponvert III, and Thomas O. Farrish.

Chief Judge Hall has encouraged the District’s Judges to forgo scheduling court proceedings so that we can assemble for a convivial and informative retreat.

CLE Credit: 5.0 Hours, including two hours ethics credit.
The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE.

All members of the Bar are invited.
