About the Program:

Review of the U.S. Supreme Court’s TC Heartland case and how it affects cases in the District of Connecticut. Get the inside scoop on the oral argument from Robinson & Cole patent litigator Jim Nault, who attended the oral argument and is a former colleague and personal friend of the victorious counsel of record for TC Heartland, Attorney Jim Dabney of Hughes Hubbard in New York. Hear key excerpts of the oral argument, with numerous insights for patent, appellate, and even general litigators, as well as insights from Jim’s post-argument discussion with Attorney Dabney. Get the low-down on what the parties’ and amicis’ arguments were and what the Court found persuasive and what it didn’t. Finally, hear the latest on whether the Eastern District of Texas is likely to recede as the patent litigation venue of choice and whether Connecticut is likely to see an increase in patent litigation cases, or whether there are factors involved that may militate against that result.

James Nault,
Robinson & Cole LLP
