Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Peter T. Zarella has announced his retirement from the bench. Judge Zarella will join the appellate and alternative dispute resolution practice groups of McElroy Deutch Mulvaney & Carpenter LLP in January 2017.
Justice Zarella earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. He first served as a Judge of the Superior Court before being nominated by Governor John G. Rowland as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 2001.
Judge Zarella has given his service to the CBA Commerical Law Bankruptcy Section, Executive Committee, Banking Law Committee, as well as co-authoring Judicial Independence at a Crossroads, in the Connecticut Bar Journal Volume 77, No. 1.
