The HOD meets 4 times a year and its members include CBA officers, district delegates, section delegates, and affinity bar delegates.  To encourage increased member involvement in the HOD, the CBA is offering an electronic version of the petition in support of nominees.

NOMINATION PROCESS

The nominating process for the CBA House of Delegates involves the submission of a petition (nominating paper), including signatures of no less than twenty (20) members or five percent (5%) of those members within a nominating district, whichever is less.  (CBA Constitution, Article VI, Section 4).  Information regarding the election process may be found in Article VI of the CBA Constitution.  Towns/District listing can be found at House of Delegates Districts by Town

A member’s preferred mailing address (business or home) on file with the CBA as of March 1st shall determine the member’s voting district. Signatures received by paper petition will be verified to assure each signature on your petition is an active CBA member and located in your district. You may wish to obtain more signatures than required by the Constitution and file the petition in advance of the deadline to permit the opportunity to obtain additional signatures if necessary. Those opting to acquire electronic petition support, will automatically have names verified through the CBA website.
