   In the Shadow of Newtown: the Crossroads of Criminal Justice, Mental Health, and Gun Ownership

Description: After the recent tragedy in Newtown, the CBA Young Lawyers Section invites all interested attorneys to direct their sympathy and grief into a positive direction, by joining a panel discussion on the current crossroads of State and Federal mental health and firearms law. The discussion will cover topics such as the recent revision of the State firearms regulations, thought to be the strictest in the country, the recording and reporting of mental illness history to firearms safety agencies, and the identification by criminal defense attorneys of clients who may need mental health assistance.
