About the Program
This program will address how DCF (Connecticut Department of Children and Families) involvement can impact custody and access aspects of a family case. The presentation will cover how to advise clients when a DCF investigation has commenced; obtaining, using, and admitting DCF records into evidence; the effect a safety plan has; and the authority of DCF to remove children from a home.
You Will Learn
• How to assess and influence the impact DCF involvement may have on a family case
• How to obtain and use records created by DCF and advise clients as to how to respond to a DCF investigation, along with possible outcomes

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits.
Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, a fully interactive videoconference, or simultaneous transmission with synchronous interactivity. Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits.
