About the Program
Since the State passed legislation in 2020 to sunset the “Transfer Act”, CT’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has been working with stakeholders to develop the replacement “Release-Based” program. This arduous process has led to many questions about implications of the transition to the regulated community and property owners. Initial draft program regulations were expected to be issued by the end of 2023, which will provide a more tangible understanding of what exactly the new program will require, how it will work, and how it will potentially affect and intersect with a variety of other, existing environmental requirements in CT. This program is intended to be an update and touch-point for practitioners about this major regulatory transition as the State moves closer to bringing it to fruition.

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits.
Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, a fully interactive videoconference, or simultaneous transmission with synchronous interactivity. Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits.
