About the Program

This presentation will address an attorney’s ethical obligations under the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct, including rules which impart an obligation for civility within the legal profession.  The presenters will address and distinguish among zealous advocacy and sanctionable conduct, which may arise specifically in the employment law context as well as other practice areas.  The presenters will use recent examples to identify ethical considerations attorneys may face in their daily practice.

  • About your ethical obligations with a lens towards civility in the practice of law.
  • About recent changes to the CT Rules of Professional Conduct.

New and experienced attorneys.

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits. 

Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, a fully interactive videoconference, or simultaneous transmission with synchronous interactivity. Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits.
