About the Program
A case study involving a worker with carpal tunnel syndrome and other hand issues will be presented. Causation and return to work issues will be addressed.
You Will Learn
• How repetitive use can be considered a substantial factor in the cause of hand conditions
• How other conditions, such as trigger finger or cubital tunnel syndrome, may or may not be causally connected to carpal tunnel syndrome
• How medical comorbidities may be relevant to the cause of carpal tunnel syndrome
• About the concept of contralateral “overuse” compensation
• How to address apportionment in cases involving multiple exposures
• About return-to-work issues
