About the Program
The seminar will be from the perspectives of a geriatric psychiatrist and an elder law/trusts and estates attorney whom confront weekly, if not daily, examples of elder abuse and elder exploitation. In addition, the seminar will be about the steps to take to either pre-empt or address elder abuse and exploitation.
You Will Learn
- The effects of dementia and other medical conditions on executive functioning
- The effects of diminished executive functioning on decision-making
- The various legal rights, remedies, and recourses for those who have been exploited
