About the Program

The presenters will discuss the origins of the Rules of Professional Conduct, and the historical tensions between their role as a set of minimum standards and an expiation of aspirational goals and best practices. In other words, are the Rules the least we have to do while, at the same time, the most we can be compelled to do?   And, what should you do if you are grieved?

You Will Learn

  • About the difference between the Rules of Professional Conduct and the Principles of Professionalism
  • What issues are at play when ethics complaints are filed and adjudicated
  • How to respond to a grievance
