Marc Wm. Vallen is a practicing attorney in Connecticut. He was admitted to practice in Connecticut State and Federal Courts in 1990, an in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1994. Marc began his career working in commercial litigation and commercial transactions. He moved into private practice as sole practitioner in 1996, working in many different areas of law. In 2004 Marc accepted a position with Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office in the New Britain judicial district, where he still serves in the Juvenile Court. Marc graduated magna cum laude from University of Bridgeport (now Quinnipiac University) School of law in 1990; and received his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in 1985, where he was the recipient of a Teaching Assistantship in Juvenile Law. He is an Honor graduate from Warren Wilson College, in December1982. Marc began his teaching career in 1996, and continues today. Marc teaches primarily at the University of Hartford, where he has served as adjunct instructor since 2000. He is the primary instructor for classes in legal technology, electronic discovery, and Forensic Evidence. He has also instructed in Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights, Real Estate Transactions, Ethics and other courses. He is the winner of the Sustained Excellence in Teaching award at University of Hartford in 2010.
