The Trial and Appellate Track
Presented by the Litigation Section
About the Program
This trial practice program will focus on the use of jury consultants including recommended voir dire topics and specific questions that will be the most predictive of verdict orientation in a particular case in a specific venue. The program will also demonstrate how a jury consultant assists with interpretation of the venire members’ verbal and body language responses, as well as recommend the most strategic use of cause and peremptory challenges in order to “de-select” the least favorable jurors. The program will focus on the use of jury consultants to develop trial themes which will be introduced during jury selection and incorporated into the trial presentation. The program will feature a mock jury selection to demonstrate the use of jury consultant during the voir dire process.
