About the Program

This session discusses tips and tricks for deposition taking and defending, with a remote component addressing recent changes to depositions in light of the COVID-19 climate. A framework for deposition practice and procedure will be provided for attorneys looking to sharpen their deposition skills. Attendees will learn from experienced practitioners how to best prepare and execute a deposition. You will learn how to improve your deposition practice from the planning stage to the use of deposition materials and testimony in motions, trials, and hearings.


You Will Learn

The purpose of a deposition, types of depositions, how to prepare for depositions, deposition procedures/objections, defending depositions, taking depositions; 

How to take depositions of experts;

How to use depositions in motions, trial, and hearings;

How to navigate the logistics of remote depositions.

Any attorney looking to sharpen deposition skills from the newly admitted to experienced trial attorneys.
