About the Program
This session discusses tips and tricks for deposition taking and defending, with a remote component addressing recent changes to depositions in light of the COVID-19 climate. A framework for deposition practice and procedure will be provided for attorneys looking to sharpen their deposition skills. Attendees will learn from experienced practitioners how to best prepare and execute a deposition. You will learn how to improve your deposition practice from the planning stage to the use of deposition materials and testimony in motions, trials, and hearings.
You Will Learn
• The purpose of a deposition, types of depositions, how to prepare for depositions, deposition procedures/objections, defending depositions, taking depositions;
• How to take depositions of experts;
• How to use depositions in motions, trial, and hearings;
• How to navigate the logistics of remote depositions.

Any attorney looking to sharpen deposition skills from the newly admitted to experienced trial attorneys.
