About the Program

This panel discussion will address the unique ethical and practical challenges lawyers face when managing employees, whether operating a law firm or advising clients on managing companies. Topics that will be covered include recognizing FMLA/ADA requests, managing departing employees who have confidential client information, preventing retaliation claims, and navigating sensitive internal claims. 

You Will Learn

How to identify the most common employment law mistakes that lawyers make when managing their own firm personnel
How to recognize the ethical obligations that arise when lawyer-employers face HR decisions involving client matters or confidential information
How to evaluate and handle sensitive internal complaints/issues

Who Should Attend

Attorneys who are or may be in a position to manage employees.
