Presenters will discuss what to do when multiple states may have jurisdiction over a workers' compensation claim. They will focus on Connecticut's overlap with nearby states such as New York, Massachusetts and/or New Jersey.

This panel discussion will address the unique ethical and practical challenges lawyers face when managing employees in their own firms. Topics include recognizing when FMLA/ADA requests, managing departing employees who have client information, preventing retaliation claims when clients complain about staff, and navigating sensitive internal claims such as discrimination and sexual harassment claims. Include case studies of common mistakes lawyers make when managing their own personnel.
