About the Program

This talk will provide an accessible overview of AI and how it’s impacting the practice of law, today and tomorrow. We’ll begin with a high-level explanation of what AI is and the different types of AI technologies relevant to the legal field, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics. In addition, we’ll discuss some real-world examples of how firms are already using AI and might use AI in the future. The use of AI also raises important questions for many in the legal profession. For that reason, we’ll also discuss concerns about ethical issues surrounding the use of AI, whether AI threatens legal jobs, and the future of human judgment in legal work. This talk will be accessible for lawyers at any career stage with significant time allotted for ADCA (Ask-Dr.-Cain-Anything).
