About the Program
This program will cover environmental law basics in Connecticut and how to structure transactions to take into account environmental issues. Attendees will receive an overview of Connecticut's environmental law framework.
You Will Learn
- About the Connecticut Transfer Act/Environmental Land Use Restrictions
- How to mitigate or eliminate environmental liability associated with a transaction by investigating the asset prior to purchase, sale, or financing
- How to determine and quantify environmental risks associated with a transaction such that the price can be adjusted accordingly
- How to determine whether to proceed with a transaction, and, if so, on what basis
Who Should Attend
Lawyers interested in learning more about how real property and environmental law interact on a daily basis. Real estate and environmental attorneys are the target audience but the overview is beneficial for all.
