Program Summary
The Innovation Partnership Building (IPB) at UConn’s Tech Park is UConn’s center for cutting edge research, industry collaboration and innovation in fields of expertise ranging from cybersecurity to materials testing to clean energy.  The 113,700 GSF building houses state-of-the art specialized equipment and instrumentation for nanofabrication, precision manufacturing, biomedical devices/sensor development, advanced modeling/simulation and material characterization.  Its unique features include two specialty labs or wings referred to as the Advanced Characterization Lab (ACL), which contain sensitive characterization and microscopy tools and the Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center (AMIC).  The building was designed to isolate the equipment in the ACL lab from the induced external vibrations and electromagnetic fields, both of which could negatively impact the operation of the equipment.

Come learn about the construction teams’ challenges in creating and completing this complex building.

Cost: $55
