DEEP's Priorities, Challenges and Opportunities in 2019

Speaker:  Robert Klee, DEEP Commissioner

Program Description:  Commissioner Klee will discuss the challenges that face the agency, its priorities for the future, its recent accomplishments and the opportunities to advance its legislative mandate in an era of fiscal constraint and shifting federal policies. He will also will report on the status of proposed regulations, the agency's priorities for 2019 and the challenges that face the incoming administration.

Clyde O. Fisher Award Honoring Westmoor Park

Program Description:  Presentation of the Clyde O. Fisher Award to Westmoor Park.  In addition, we will welcome new Executive Committee Members, thanking those who recently stepped off the Executive Committee for their contributions as members and solicit suggestions for CLE in the coming months.

Westmoor Park has been described as a hidden gem.  It encompasses 162 acres of public land in West Hartford that is managed as a wildlife sanctuary and demonstration farm for the benefit of the public.  The Park offers programming for thousands of school children and scouts each year, plus a wide variety of classes and activities year round that are open for the general public.
