Program Description

David will discuss unique issues related to the valuation of franchises in different contexts (involuntary terminations, buy-sell, estates, etc.) such as statutory rights for franchisees (e.g., terminations for cause only); issues related to advertising and brand identification from franchisors; different types of valuations when “bolt on” products (e.g., craft beers) or second franchises are involved; and the absence of true comparables.
