2019 CT Trial Advocacy Pro Bono Flyer

Learn useful skills and tips for pro bono trials from skilled colleagues and receive insight from members of the federal judiciary. To participate in this workshop, you must agree to take on a pro bono matter in the District of Connecticut within the next twelve months. In exchange you will receive instruction, including mock trial presentations before a federal judge, opening and closing statements, direct examination, cross examination, and evidence issues (i.e., getting documents admitted). Also included is an overview of the District Court's screening process for pro se cases and prisoner litigation. Lunch will be provided.

Registration Information

This program is open to both members and non-members at no cost. All attendees must be admitted to the District of Connecticut and agree to one pro bono representation in the District of Connecticut over the next year. All attendees must register online in advance at www.federalbarcouncil.com.


CLE Credit

This program will provide 6.0 transitional/non-transitional NY CLE credits in skills, which can be used toward Connecticut’s MCLE requirement.
