Program Description

The panel will present overviews of the Connecticut Unfair Insurance Practices Act (CUIPA) and Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA). The program will address threshold pleading considerations such as statutory standing to assert the claims, statute of limitation issues and exemption/preemption. The panel will also discuss pleading and proving CUIPA’s general business practice requirement.
