About the Program

This program is intended to provide discussion and information relating to trends in employment discrimination and harassment, such as transgender issues, sexual harassment, and leave issues. The program will present a diverse panel, offering views from a defense attorney, plaintiff's attorney, and the CHRO.

You Will Learn

  • How transgender issues (including gender expression and identity protections) have had an impact on discrimination and harassment in the workplace
  • About the rise of sexual harassment claims in light of #metoo, including employee prevention training and changes to the taxation of settlements paid out in response to sexual harassment
  • Other topics, such as pre-employment inquiries in interviews (salary history bans, "ban the box" laws) and leave laws
