Superior Judge Trial Referee Jon Blue has been a Judge since 1989, is author of The Case of the Piglet’s Paternity (Wesleyan 2015) and several articles, including (with Henry Cohn) Introduction to Governor Wolcott’s Draft Constitution, and Everything You Always Wanted to Know about the Constitution of 1818 But were Afraid to Ask, in Connecticut Supreme Court History.

Program Description

The Judge will discuss the historical context of the 1818 Constitution, both as to how it came about and why it took so long after Independence to yield long-term criminal law consequences.
