Speaker

John S. Rubrich, First American Title Ins. Co., Stamford

John originally joined First American Title as Senior Underwriting Counsel and currently serves as Connecticut State Counsel.  Prior to joining First American, John had a diverse private practice covering real estate, litigation, probate and land use matters, helping him find practical workable solutions to client problems. His private practice experience included extensive work in residential and commercial real estate and planning and zoning.  He is able to provide a broad perspective given his experience in complex estate and civil litigation cases.

Since joining First American Title, John has assisted agents with a wide variety of title matters and closings, including closing loans in excess of $300 million, the termination of a 166 Unit  Cooperative, and setting up “air rights” condominiums.

John graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy and received his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac College School of Law, where he served as member of the Law Review. He is a member of various Bar Associations in Connecticut and is admitted to all Connecticut state and federal courts as well as the United States Supreme Court.
